The major North American karting event, the Superkarts USA Pro Tour, has several rounds before the most famous event of its calendar, held annually in Las Vegas, United States. One of tehm was held last weekend in California, more exactly at the Simraceway Performance Karting Center, in Sonoma.

In this round, named Springnationals, about 250 racing drivers were in Sonoma to compete for the second round of the competition, which comprised races 3 and 4. Nine categories were on the track, all using the Evinco brand tires manufactured by Brazilian MGtires, supplied also to more than 500 competitors worldwide who compete for the SKUSA final in Las Vegas.

This round was formed by categories Micro Swift, S1, S2, S4, S4 Super Master, X30, X30 Senior, X30 Junior and Mini Swift, being the main highlight for the last three, each with more than 40 registered competitors.

The Superkarts USA Pro Tour - or SKUSA Pro Tour - will continue in August with the round called Summernationals in New Castle, Indiana. The peak of the season will be in Las Vegas, between November 15 and 19, in the SUPERNATIONAL XXI dispute.
