MG TIRES RENOVATED PARTNERSHIP WITH UNITED STATES PRO KART SERIES AND PROVIDES TIRES FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

North American karting had an intense movement last weekend and one of the events that most caught the attention of the Racing drivers in the United States was the opening of the United States Pro Kart Series - or simply USPKS –, the first championship in the country to use the pushback bumper system. This system began to be used last year in Europe and Singapore at CIK / FIA events.

Named "Carolina Grand Prix", the opening round took place at GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina, and brought together a number of competitors.

Present in 26 countries and across Europe, Brazilian MGtires is the official tire supplier for the USPKS since 2015. In its third season of partnership with the North American’s competition, the Brazilian manufacturer has supplied its product to seven categories and more than 100 drivers in Mooresville.

The programming was intense in the GoPro Motorplex and at the end of the qualifying, heats and Final were defined the winners of the "Carolina Grand Prix" and the leaders of the championship.

In IAME KA100, the category that made its debut in the competition and which had the largest number of entries, the leader is Alex Bertagnoli, same position of Frankie Iadeaia in IAME Micro Swift. Brent Crews is the leader in the IAME Mini Swift, while Austin Schaff is the first in the IAME X30 Junior.

Also with one of the best grids of the round, the IAME X30 Pro has Brandon Jarsocrack at the top of the table. Finally, in both categories competing with Yamaha engines, William Robusto leads the Cadet and Colin Neal is the first placed on the Junior standings.

In partnership with IAME USA, MGtires and SKUSA, USPKS will award the champion of the five IAME categories with free participation in the grand finale event in Las Vegas, the SuperNationals - or SKUSA. The USPKS award also includes trips to IAME X30 Finals World in France for a "lucky" on the IAME X30 Senior and IAME X30 Junior.

The next round of the USPKS will be the Liberty Grand Prix, June 28-30 in Wampum, Pennsylvania.
