The Brazilian MGtires, one of the largest kart tire manufacturers in the world, launched in December last year another product in the national and international market, which joins the already known CIK / FIA, FZ (yellow seal), HZi (red seal), WT (rain) and Cadet, produced for the most diverse competitions in Brazil and around the world.

The new model of the production line at the plant located in Barra do Ribeiro, about 50 kilometers from Porto Alegre, capital of Rio Grande do Sul, is the IZ. It is an intermediate compound, whose proposal is to maintain the balance between performance, hardness and durability, since the new tire was developed based on the current needs of karting.

The objective not only of the IZ model, but also of the other models manufactured by MGtires, is to meet the requirements of competitions around the world, which present various difficulties and make the tires have a decisive importance in the results.

In this way, the IZ is, according to MGtires coaches, a good choice for drivers around the world.

One of the categories that uses the IZ tires is the Rotax DD2, which has its races and activities based on the Copa São Paulo KGV, at the Kartódromo Granja Viana. And Wilton Santos, from Mach5, which organizes the Rotax championships in Brazil, analyzes the performance of the IZ model. "We were looking for a tire that offered us high durability, consistent performance and good grip for more laps," reports the manager. "We started using IZ in our DD2 division and we saw that after the so-called 'tire lap' the drivers continue to 'turn around' the same times more consistently."
